Feet are fantastic!
Caring for little feet helps keep children healthy and active as they grow.
We know that good foot health supports our children’s all round development while they’re growing, and can even have a lasting effect all the way through their adult lives.
That’s why we’re sharing all our research and knowledge with you in this section. ‘Feet are fantastic’ brings together all the latest insights and best practice from our own research programmes, and from our friends who lead the fields of podiatry, biomechanics and healthcare.
Together we’ll help get children off to the best start and help everyone stay healthy and active throughout life.
Start-Rite helping children feel fantastic
We exist for the care of children’s feet, because we know that healthy feet support healthy bodies.
Good foot health also supports our children’s happiness and wellbeing, and contributes to their overall development all the way into adult life.
That’s why we believe feet are important – fantastically important.
We want to ensure all children are given the best chance possible, to enjoy their childhood and grow up to be the best they can be.
We’ve been caring for children’s feet for more than two centuries.
In 1943, we carried out the first-ever national survey of children’s feet, which transformed the way children’s shoes are designed and fitted.
Feet are unique and our environment is constantly changing so we’ve continued to conduct our pioneering research. We use the findings and the latest technology to really understand children’s growth and develop shoes that help them move with comfort and confidence.
We believe that small things can make a big difference – so anything you can do to help your children develop healthy habits from a young age will give them the best chance of staying active throughout their lives.
